Fred Fehlau is an artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. His work is minimal in form and conceptual in content; it addresses issues of language, location and identity. As in No It Can, his work often shifts the viewer's point of reference through the doubling and mirroring of images and text. The piece No It Can contains the materials and instructions to create a wall drawing of the palindromic phrase "NOITCANASSESSANACTION." A word, verse, or sentence that reads the same backward and forward is called a palindrome.
