UCR Jazz Ensembles

The concert showcases the compositions and arrangements of two Los Angeles-area composers/arrangers: John Clayton and Teryn Re. Other music to be performed by the Jazz Ensemble are compositions by Thelonious Monk and a special performance of saxophone legend Coleman Hawkins' famous 1939 recording of Body and Soul. Joining the Jazz Ensemble on stage will be the UC Riverside Jazz Combo performing music by John Coltrane and Ray Charles.
