UNSCENE
Culver Center of the Arts
Free Admission
Performance | Thursday, December 3, 2015, 7pm - 9pm |
UNSCENE invites audience members to actively explore a constructed environment and make the exchange between performers and viewers visible, while delving into concepts of urbanization, displacement, and flesh. Challenging conventional performance structures, and responding to the current exhibition, UCR dance artists expose hidden infrastructures of performance through interdisciplinary navigation of the Culver Center's unique architecture and spatial possibilities. What will you reveal? UNSCENE was created by Jungwon Ahn, Alfonso Cervera, Rainy Demerson, Rebeca Hernandez Fajardo, Patricia (Patty) Huerta, Stephanie Y Jolivet, Hyoin Jun, Maiko Le Lay, Joel Smith, and Maggie Sniffen.
Performances that run on a 30-minute loop. Feel free to stop by anytime during the evening to see a full cycle. |
UNSCENE contains nudity and mature subject matter.
Support has been provided by UCR College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) and the City of Riverside, with additional support by UCR Department of Dance.
